Class 26: The Final Presentation

To culminate our semester, we will use the last class day for final presentations. The format of the final presentation is largely up to you, but in general we will use the following template:

  • Each student will have 5 minutes to present. I will indicate when there is one minute remaining. Practice in advance to get the timing down – 5 minutes could be way shorter or longer than you expect.
  • You will be using my laptop to present, unless you have a compelling reason to use another device.
  • You do not have to prepare slides or anything like that, but if you would like to, I recommend emailing them to me in advance so we can pull them up when you step up to present.
  • The order of presentations will be random, as decided by a shuffle on the day of the event.
  • If you have a question for the presenter, just raise your hand. The presenter can choose to leave time at the end for questions or not, but in general if you’re presenting and someone raises their hand, see what they have to say.
  • Don’t be nervous! You all have done excellent work this semester.
