Week 3: Public Records

This week we’ll go over public records. This entails data collected by the government and various agencies and various laws that entail how you are allowed to request and collect these records. We’ll go over the Freedom of Information Act (commonly abbreviated FOIA and pronounced foy-yuh). And we will cover how to use MuckRock, a non-profit website that I work for that helps the public file public records requests.
